Change of guard as KATTI elects new governing council

Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI) members have elected a new Governing Council which will steer the association for the next two years.

The elections were held during KATTI’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Flamingo Beach Resort in Mombasa County recently.

The new National Chairman is Kisii National Polytechnic Chief Principal, Mr. David Mwangi while the National Vice Chairman is now The Eldoret National Polytechnic Chief Principal, Mr. Charles Koech.

The National Secretary General is Kericho Township TVC Principal, Mr. Shadrack Tonui while Ahmed Shahame Mwidani TTI Principal, Mr. Patrick King’oina retained his position as National Treasurer.

Also elected is Grace Mauti who becomes Deputy Secretary. She is the Principal of Kendege TVC in Nyanza.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Glory Mutungi, Ms. Priscah Nduku and Mr. Evans  Bosire were voted in as the National Trustees.

The elections were presided by the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Kenya School of TVET Dr. Edwin Tarno who was assisted by Kenya Institute of Mass Communication Director, Hiram Mucheke.

Speaking after the polls, Mucheke said that the Principals had expressed confidence in the new leadership.
