Parents with children heading to secondary schools have been advised to keep a close eye on them as they have been doing while in primary school.

Speaking during a graduation ceremony at Holy Spirit School in Kangundo, the school Director Josephrita Kanini said that parents are so much involved with their children while they are in primary school.

However, when they proceed to high school the parents assume they have grown and tend to give them little attention.

“I love the way you are involved with your kids’ lives and education. Coming to every meeting and knowing about their well-being. Please let this continue even as they go to secondary school or even university,” she said.

“We have seen many parents who are less concerned about their children when they get to high school. These children still need you. Don’t assume they have already grown,” she added.

As schools close, she urged parents to take time and bond with their kids during the holiday is in a bid to get close and know their children’s well-being.

“This way they will be able to talk to their parents for guidance because the relationship is strong,” she noted.
