Former Kenyenya Secondary School head boy, Mr. Dennis Onyancha has urged alumni to remember their institutions by giving back to them in kind.

Speaking to students and teachers at Kenyenya Secondary School, he talked about the importance of embracing amiable relationship between parents, teachers and students for success of the school.

“When there is harmony among these parties, students get motivated and work hard to achieve their academic goals,” he said.

Onyancha who is a consultant in one of the big law firms in the country promised to gift prize money to each candidate who attains direct University entry marks in the 2022 Kenya Certificate Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations.

He asked the more than 60 (KCSE) candidates from the school to embrace self-drive attitude towards their success.

The former head boy promised to mobilize the alumni of the school to revive the old students’ association to assist in partnering with other education stakeholders towards developing the school.

He decried the poor state of the school’s infrastructure and appealed to the area MP. Obadiah Barongo to intervene.

“I left this school eight years ago with an incomplete dining hall but it’s unfortunate that its state is still wanting,” he noted.

Onyancha asked the school to choose between the completion of the library or dining hall and give the quotation to his group for assistance.

In response to the good gesture from the alumnus, Kenyenya Secondary School deputy Principal Mr. Abea Bogonko thanked him and appealed to other alumni to to come together and assist the school develop further.
