MP elect to focus on higher education as he gets third term

Matungulu MP elect Stephen Mule has promised to focus on developing higher education during his third term.

Addressing journalists after being declared the winner in in the just concluded polls, Mule said that he will now focus on building technical institutes in the sub county to enable area needy students who have completed their secondary education to continue their studies.

“For the next five years we will focus on colleges, technical training college in Koma, computer college in Uamani, a teachers training college in Kyanzavi and another technical training institute at Kayatta. This is so that those students from our schools can further their education,” he said.

“This is the third time I am being elected as MP by my people to spearhead the development agenda and I am grateful. My core agenda is developing the education sector and this time round we have a new structure of what we are going to do and how we are going to do it,” he added.

Mule commended the day secondary schools in the sub county stating that they have been doing their best in producing good results.

“This year the days schools gave us over 200 students who joined university and that is why we are planning on building more institutions more so in the west ward of the sub county,” he said.
