Teachers in Ogembo town are seeking clarity on the rumours doing rounds claiming penalization by the TSC to teachers applying for IEBC positions to facilitate the August 9th elections.
The rumours claimed that TSC had sent notice to the county TSC directors to punish principals or headteachers who will release teachers for the stated exercise.
KUPPET Gucha Branch chairman Mr Laban Ouko who promised to seek clarity from TSC, asked the teachers to dispel the rumours and treat them as fake news until proven otherwise by their employer.
He asked the teachers to practice their freedom of association and expression without compromising their profession.
“If you have secured a chance to serve with the IEBC temporarily, you know the procedure to do that without locking horns with our employer.” he said.
Mr Ouko asked the TSC to clarify the matter to ease the teachers from unnecessary fear and tension.
