Kadika Girls High School has continued to excel in academics.

In 2021 KCSE, the school performed well and managed to send 187 candidates to public universities.

The school principal Roselyne Ochieng  thanked the teachers for working tirelessly hard to ensure all candidates are well attended to as they prepare for their national exams.

“The academic calendar was very squeezed but they remained committed to excellence,” she said.

The Seventh Day Adventist sponsored institution in Suna East constituency boasts of growing over time to be a world class academic centre.

It offers the girl child a chance to encounter a real learning environment as it is established in the serene outskirts of the flourishing municipality which makes it an ideal learning location.

It has a fully equipped learning resource centre, modern computer and science laboratory with more space for structural development on its five hectares of land.

Ochieng added that the institution has continued to provide quality education to students from poor families.

As the school sets its goals, the sky is never the limit as they remain focused to do better in the years to come. It is guided by their motto, ‘aspire for excellence’.

“We also enhance moral value acquisition alongside cultural heritage as entrenched in the school’s mission and vision,” she said.

The administration ensured equality among students by establishing a cashless canteen which helps in provision of basic necessities to students who are financially lacking.

In addition, the staff has formed a welfare committee that contributes towards providing scholarships to needy students at the school to ensure they are not sent home and have proper uniforms among other basic needs.

“We have the staff welfare and the cashless canteen with the focus of supporting needy students. This has brought positive results since they can accord more time to their studies,” noted Ochieng’.

The school admitted a high number of needy Form One students and called on well-wishers and other education stakeholders to come to the aid of the learners since the measures they have put in place aren’t enough.

Ochieng expressed concern that   the school has teachers’ shortage, delayed payment of school fees and few infrastructure to serve the students.
