Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has granted Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMASTEA) the permission to implement the 2022 Strengthening Mathematics And Science Education (SMASE) for online national primary In-Service Education and Training (INSET) and County INSET.
This grant for teachers will run from May 2 to May 13 and will be implemented through virtual platforms daily from 4.00pm to 5.30pm.
CEMASTEA is in the process of disbursing funds for the implementation of the 2022 INSETs for national primary and counties.
The CTCDC has been asked to ensure the selected 32 Mathematics teachers and 32 Science teachers identified by counties to participate in the Online INSET to be enrolled in the Google Classrooms in order to facilitate smooth implementation of the programme.
Before commencement, TSC asked that the email addresses of the teachers should have reach CEMASTEA by April 27.
SMASE is a programme of excellence in teacher capacity development in Africa, its main goal is to contribute towards upgrading the capability of young Kenyans at primary level of education.
