Muendo Jane Mutheu, who emerged the third best student nationally in the category of best performers under 16 in the just released KCSE exams, wants to pursue medicine in university and become a pediatrician.

Mutheu sat her exams at St. Theresa Mbooni Girls High Secondary school in Makueni county and scored a mean grade of 86.69.

Her good performance saw her ranked as the best candidate in Makueni county.

Mutheu said that her target was scoring 84 points which she surpassed by scoring 86.69.

“I attribute my good performance to the support I received from my parents who coached me during the long Covid-19 break,” she said.

She went on to say that her father teaches Physics and Maths while her mother teaches Maths and Chemistry.

She thanked her teachers and the support staff at her former school for supporting her.
