Parents ask public to stop speculating on KCSE leakages

By Enock Okong’o

Parents have asked members of the public to avoid any speculations about possible leakages in the ongoing KCSE examinations.

While speaking to Education News at Ogembo town in Kisii County, Nyanza Region Parent’s Associstion Chairman Mr.Paul Mainga while addresing the exam leakage issue also asked Centre Managers, Supervisors and invigilators to be a source of encouragement to the candidates.

He told them that parents have trusted government officers who should not indulge themselves in any questionable behaviour.

Mr. Mainga was responding to the romour that some students and teachers from Nyanza region had been arrested with some leaked examination papers.

“If there are any examination leakages, let them be viewed as isolated cases and be dealt with at individual levels instead of saying that all candidates are lying,” he said.

The chairman asked the police to arrest any suspect of the examination leakage and judge them according to the law.

He asked the candidates to be confident and tackle the examinations with courage instead of depending on outside sources that might divert their attention from proving correct answers for the questions in the examination room.

His sentiments come hours after Education CS Prof. George Magoha refuted claims that there was mass irregularities in the ongoing KCSE examinations that have just hit week two.
