The former Deputy Director at the staffing division of Teachers Service Commission (TSC) headquarters who had been moved to Administration department under unclear circumstances Ms. Dorothy Chonyi has yet again been deployed, but now to the field in the recent reshuffles conducted by the Commission.
Ms. Chonyi has been taken to the field as a County Director in Garissa, taking over from Mr. Ibrahim Adan, who has been promoted to Regional Director and posted to North Eastern Region to replace Raphael Tarus who retired recently.
Ms. Chonyi’s deployment come few months after she was deployed to the less glamorous Information and Communication Technology (ICT) section in the Administration Department under unclear circumstances in the changes that created panic at the TSC headquarters.
In the reshuffles carried out by the Commission early this week, Kiambu County TSC Director Regina Opondo has been moved to Nandi County to replace Rosemary Sokotian; who has been deployed to Tharaka Nithi.
Sokotian had served in the previous station just few months after being moved from Kericho initially.
Tharaka Nithi County TSC Director Mr. Abubakar Hassan has been moved to Kiambu County to replace Opondo.
Two County TSC Deputy Directors; one of them being from Marsabit whose names Education News could not immediately establish have been promoted to full County TSC Directors and deployed to Wajir and Kilifi Counties.
Ms. Pamela Mariwa who was in charge of Kilifi has been re-deployed to the Commission’s headquarters to serve at the Quality Assurance department.
It is understood that more changes are expected within the week considering that several County TSC Directors will be retiring. It is also speculated that several Deputy Directors could be appointed while others moved to other stations.
