Students from all levels of learning institutions have been asked to embrace self-discipline in order to achieve their goals in life.

Speaking at Keumbu town, Kisii County Commissioner Mr. Allan Macharia praised the residents and community policing groups for working with his security personnel to arrest suspected robbers.

The five suspects had been spotted at one of the bars in the town during the late hours trying to invade a trader to rob him of his property.

Acting on tips, the police reported at the town and arrested the suspects who were in possession of a pistol and 32 rounds of ammunition.

“Two of the robbers are students from Kisii University.” reported Kisii County Police Commander Mr. Francis Kooli.

Speaking to Education News Mr. Kooli said that the suspects are helping the police with good information that may lead to arrests of others who are said to be students from secondary schools.

The commander asked the learners to desist from using drugs because they ruined their brains.

He asked the learners to involve themselves in constructive activities like sports and community drama groups instead of indulging in evil activities.
