Tala Satelitte high school director Patrick Mwongela has urged the school’s alumni to take an active role in mentoring students.
Mr Mwongela said that alumni have a responsibility to support their former schools as well as serve as role models to students.
He noted that most students drop out of school or fail to work hard in school due to lack of role models.
‘’I am urging alumni to form strategic partnerships to motivate and mentor students, ’the director said
He asked parents to ensure their children are educated so that they are empowered.
He also urged parents across the country to watch over their children during the holidays saying most children easily engage in wrong behavior or become victims if they aren’t monitored.
