Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) executive secretary for Makueni county Justus Kimeu has told school principals not to force teachers to work beyond odd hours.

Speaking in his office in Wote, Kimeu observed that many teachers were in danger of being attacked when going home at late hours.

He gave the example of a teacher who was recently attacked while coming from school at odd hours.

“We understand you are putting extra efforts in studies but don’t risk the teachers’ lives,” he added.

He called upon all teachers to be vaccinated and to strictly observe the Covid-19 protocols,” Kimeu.
