Teacher at Kisumu school goes into isolation after testing Covid-19 positive

A teacher at Kisumu school  has gone into isolation after testing Covid-19 positive

 Kisumu county has been in the spotlight for the spread of Covid-19 after by the Ministry of Health forecast a surge since the county government hosted Madaraka Day celebrations.

The teacher at St.Theresa girls secondary school which is situated next to the Kibuye market and which has over 500 learners with about  40 teachers decided to go into self-isolation after he tested Covid-19 positive  so as not to spread the disease.

The School Principal Sister Anastasia Nkoyai, however, said that they are yet to give a directive concerning the issue of the pandemic.

She said that less than 20 of  the teachers at the school had been vaccinated.

One of the supporting staff members who contracted the disease also went into self isolation at home taking precautions as directed by the doctor.

“Corona virus is a deadly disease ,take care and be safe” ,she added.
