The police in Kenyenya Sub County have arrested a bodaboda rider for allegedly eloping with two pupils.
According to Mokubo Location Chief Samuel Omambia, the girls who belong to Kenyenya DEB primary School went missing from their homes recently.
They were found in the house of the suspect who had gone out shortly to buy sugar for breakfast tea.
The girls were taken to school for further grilling. They revealed that the suspect had been their friend for a long time.
“He gave us sweets after dropping us at school”, said one the girl.
The head teacher reported the matter to the police who arrested the suspect.
The man was put in our custody after recording statement”, confirmed the Police Commander Philip Oyugi.
He said the suspect will be taken to the court of law to answer the allegations after the investigations were complete.
The Education Director for Kenyenya Sub County George Ouma warned those who misled school girls.
