Parents in Nandi County have been urged to invest in quality education for their children.

The call was made by Alfred Koech, a brand ambassador to Kenya for Edith Cowan University. He said he is keen on giving back to the society by supporting the needy and students to achieve their dreams.

Koech believes in giving back to the society through support of the needy and mentoring those with special talents.

Speaking at St. Augustine Border Land primary school in Mlango area Nandi County during his visitation tour to honour his promise of supporting the best KCPE student from the school to proceed to high school, he recalled that he was offered a helping hand to pursue his career which made him what he is today.

He also revealed that he is focusing on special unit programmes and urged the political leadership from the region to also chip in and offer assistance to the needy.

“I would like to give back to the society by empowering the young generation more so, the needy to achieve their dreams,” he affirmed.

Mr. Koech has been awarding the top candidate annually by taking care of his or her shopping when joining secondary school. He had an opportunity to support last year’s top KCPE candidate from the school who scored a total of 393 marks.
