List of top 10 2020 KCSE students nationally

Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Education George Magoha has released the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary School Education (KCSE) results.

Speaking from Mtihani House on Monday, the CS said the results were for 747,171 students who finally sat their exams after nearly a year of uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The class of 2020 performed comparatively better than their counterparts from 2019. A total of 893 candidates scored grade A plain in 2020 compared to the 627 candidates who got the same grade in 2019.

The ten students include

  2. Wasonga Allan-87.173
  3. Sharon Jepgeno-87.173
  4. Rob Ongare-87.173.
  5. Mbugua Esther- 87.113
  6. Kipkoech Mark- 87.106
  7. Kenneth Orange- 87.049
  8. Henry Madaga- 87.046
  9. Patience Chepkorir- 87. 046
  10. Musomba Edith- 87.013

Students who took the exams can check their results by texting their index numbers to the SMS code 20076.

This year, 287 results have been cancelled.

211 students, according to CS Magoha, had unauthorized materials, including writing on white shirts.

45 mobile phones were confiscated during the exam period.
