Shock has engulfed a village in Kitui County after a KCSE candidate was stabbed to death by her 27 year old boyfriend.
The chief of Mbusyani location Maluki Mumo said the deceased was stabbed several times by the man at night.
The two hail from Kavasya village in Kitui rural sub county.
Mumo said they had not established the motive behind the killing but added whichever the reason, nothing justifies murder.
The man stabbed himself several times with a knife but was rescued by the neighbors and rushed to Kitui referral hospital where he is admitted.
The deceased’s body was also taken to the mortuary at the same hospital as investigations began.
The Chief urged young people to solve problems amicably because killing will only land them into problems.
