The government has put strategic measures in place to curb cheating in the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations in Coast region.
Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Coast Regional Director Victoria Muoka warned that anybody found to be involved in cheating in the examinations will be arrested and prosecuted.
She urged examination supervisors and invigilators to exercise high standard of integrity, transparency, accountability and honesty to ensure the exams run smoothly in the region.
The director asked education stakeholders in the area to report suspicious characters who are bent on cheating to the police.
Muoka said that the government will not sit back and watch some few individuals cheat in the examinations.
She also cautioned students, teachers and parents against exam malpractices in the region.
She revealed cheating in the examinations will automatically lead to cancellation of results of certain students or schools.
