Students reminded that burning of school facilities erase sweet memories

“The protection and proper management of the buildings in schools should hold memories to the students,” says Hon. Ida Odinga when she was addressing learners at a fundraising drive at Oruba Girls secondary school in Uriiri.

“One day you should be able to show your children the facilities and schools you used during your academic journey that enabled you attain the grades you got to be who you are. Why would you be at the forefront of burning property at school something you cannot do to your own home? The school is your second home and therefore respect the roof over your head,” Said Ida.

She called on the students to respect every decision made by those who participated in the building of the facilities saying it was meant to boost their comfort at school.

“Respect what other people have done. You joined the school and found the dormitories among other buildings in the institution and therefore don’t think you have the right to make a decision to destroy what has been built to help generations to come,” said Ida.
