Teachers in Bomachoge Borabu Constituency in Kisii County have cried foul over intimidation from the area MP.
The teachers, majority of them being primary school head teachers, said they were called to an education stakeholders meeting by the MP Prof Zadoc Ogutu immediately after the release of last year’s KCPE examination results, where they claimed the MP threatened them with transfers if they did not follow his orders.
“Instead of thinking together for the way forward the MP threatened us like children instead of guiding us,” said one head teacher.
The meeting was held at Ekerubo CCF Primary School. They claimed the MP lectured them how intends to introduce a motion in parliament on the dressing code of teachers.
