50 candidates score over 300 marks in school in Makueni

50 KCPE candidates at Unoa Primary School scored over 300 marks to end 8-4-4 on a high note, with the top pupil, a girl scoring 410 marks.

The head teacher Winfred Sila noted that the year’s results were very impressive with a great improvement.

Speaking during the performance celebrations, Sila said Victoria Mwende Mutuku was followed by Mieve Atieno with 400 marks.

She thanked parents for walking the journey with the school, adding that both teaching and non-teaching staff were very supportive towards realizing this goal.

“Our teachers were very supportive in class and guiding us all the time. I personally want to join Precious blood-Kilungu and thereafter Mount Kenya University for medical studies,” the top girl said.

Mary Mutheu Kyalo, deputy head Onesmus Mutiso’s daughter, scored 387.

“It was a very hardworking class. I know these pupils will shine now and in future. I pray that God will help us to help her realize her dreams,” Mutiso said.
