The Government has officially selected over 40 private primary schools in Bomet County which will offer Junior Secondary School (JSS) education under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) starting 2023.

The County Director of Education, Apollo Apuko said that the chosen schools have all met the requirements which will guarantee a conducive learning environment.

“Students will continue with their junior secondary education activities in the same institutions they have been learning so long as the school has been approved to host them,” he added.

Speaking during Tenwek International School’s (TIS) kindergarten graduation ceremony and Grade 6 prayer day in Bomet County, the Director said that they have identified private primary schools that will welcome the first Grade 6 graduates as boarders with the school being one of them.

He lauded TIS for putting efforts to establish enough facilities for supporting education in the institution which made them be noticed and identified as one of the schools which will host JSS learners.

“The school has met all the requirements and those who will transit from Grade Six will continue to get quality education in this school,” said Apuko.
