26 pupils involved in road accident discharged

26 pupils of MCK Kaaga Academy who recently sustained minor injuries after a road accident have been discharged after receiving treatment at Meru Teaching and Referral hospital.

It is reported that their school bus overturned at Mwirine area of the Meru-Kaaga bypass in Meru County last week Friday.

According to the eyewitnesses, the bus was ferrying the pupils to school when the accident occurred at a sharp corner on the road.

Those who sustained injuries were rushed to Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital where they were treated and discharged while others were taken to school for counseling.

The doctor in charge of the facility Dr. Joseph Wahome assured parents that all the children are in stable condition.

According to Dr. Wahome, those who were attended to were 26, out of whom 19 sustained only minor bruises while the remaining 7 were taken for X-ray.
