26 counties invite teachers for promotion interviews

Twenty six Counties have sent promotion interviews invitation to teachers after the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) had recently advertised 36,505 vacancies, with 149,846 applicants being shortlisted.

TSC had invited applicants for interviews from October 24 to October 30, 2023.

Reportedly, the interview process is divided into two phases, ensuring that both primary and post-primary teachers have a fair chance at securing promotions.

Phase 1, focusing on primary teachers, is scheduled to take place from December 4, 2023  to December 15, 2023 organized at the sub-county level and led by Sub-County Directors of Education (SCDs).

Phase 2, which will encompass post-primary teachers, is slated for the January 3, 2024 to January 16, 2024. This phase of interviews will be conducted at the county level, overseen by County Directors of Education (CDs), and at the regional level, guided by Regional Directors of Education (RDs).

These Counties are Bomet, Turkana, Tana River, Kisii, Homabay, Nyamira, Taita Taveta, Mombasa, Samburu, Kilifi, Nairobi, Kericho, Bungoma, Nakuru, Isiolo, Trans Zoia, Migori, Laikipia, Kakamega, Kajiado, Murang’a, Kwale, Embu, Kiambu, Nyeri, and Nandi.
