A 22-year old university student Ruth Kosgei has committed suicide at her home in Kerita town, Uasin Gishu County.
Reportedly, her parents were concerned she had overslept and upon trying to wake her up, found her lifeless body hanging from the ceiling of her bedroom.
She used a bed sheet to kill herself and had left no letter or explanation for the drastic action.
Preliminary investigations confirm that there was no argument between the deceased and the parents.
The gravity of the matter prompted the area chief to implore students and the public to seek support from parents or counselors when faced with life’s tribulations.
