219 teachers win awards for co-curricular activities at World Teachers Day

A total of 219 teachers were feted for exemplary work in different co-curricular activities during the World Teachers Day at the Kenya School of Government today.

Teachers drawn from different schools countrywide were awarded for the Kenya Music Festival 2023 National Winners (Music) category with 17 coming from Teacher Training Colleges, while 16 teachers were awarded in Secondary, 6 in Primary, 4 in Colleges, and 10 in SNEs for the Kenya National and Drama Festival as National Winners

For Kenya Secondary Schools Sports and Games National winners, a total of 47 teachers were awarded in this category while for Kenya Primary Schools Sports and Games National winners, a total of 32 teachers were awarded together with 6 trainers.

In the Kenya Special Needs Secondary Schools ball games championships National winners, a total of 44 teachers were awarded while in the Kenyan Teachers Colleges sports National winners a total of 9 teachers were awarded and in the Kenya Science and Engineering Fair National winners, a total of 19 teachers were awarded.

A total of 33 teachers were awarded in various Primary Special Needs National winners 2023 categories.

For East Africa championships, a total of 17 teachers were awarded with only one teacher, Justin Ntwiga from Kwanthanze Secondary School, awarded.

Another 7 teachers were awarded in other categories while 3 awarded in international schools and 4 for the New 4K club.
