The nationwide 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) has officially kicked off today, October 21.
The candidates will start with orals for French, German, Arabic, and Kenyan Sign Language, while the practical exams set to begin on Wednesday to Friday, October 31.
This comes after the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) said that all preparations are set to ensure a transparent process, after conducting rehearsals on Friday.
KNEC Chief Executive Officer Davind Njengere said that 996,078 students will be undertaking the exam.

Another 1,298,089 learners will sit for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) exams set to commence next week while 1,130,669 will sit for the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA).
KNEC CEO Njengere also noted that storage containers have been increased from 617 used last year to 642 to ease distribution of examination material.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has warned that lawful action will be taken on those found engaging in exam malpractice.
