Rising volleyball sensation Brigit Otuva, a former student of Kesogon Mixed Secondary School in Trans Nzoia County, has achieved a major milestone after securing permanent employment with the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).
Her recruitment marks a proud moment not only for her family and school but also for the entire volleyball fraternity in Kenya, which continues to produce outstanding talent through the education system.
Brigit’s journey is one of discipline, determination, and consistency. Together with her twin sister, Nancy Baraza, the pair was instrumental in guiding Kesogon Mixed Secondary School to win the Rift Valley Regional title and emerge among the top performers at the National Secondary School Games as well as the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Associations (FEASSSA) Championships.

Their skill, teamwork, and resilience on the court earned Kesogon recognition as one of the strongest volleyball powerhouses in the region.
The talented twins, who completed their Form Four in 2024, left behind a remarkable legacy at Kesogon, inspiring a new generation of young players.
Brigit’s powerful serves, quick reflexes, and unmatched energy made her a standout player, while Nancy’s leadership and tactical awareness provided balance and composure to the team.
