Governor wants TVET education boosted

The County Deputy Governor Majala Mlagui has challenged the education stakeholders to improve the quality and relevance of technical and vocation training systems during the review of primary and secondary education curriculum.
She said this will connect the industry and sustainable development needs with vocational training programmes and improve quality through Technical Vocational and Education Training (TVET) institutions.
She added that TVET is supposed to be playing a very central role in preparing millions of unemployed young people for work.
Mlaguli who is the youngest deputy governor, in 2011, started an organization known as Thamani to empower small scale miners through education and advocacy.
