A Total of 255 Adult Education learners in Mombasa County will sit for the 2017 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams as private candidates.
New Mombasa County Director of Adult Education, Jane Mwale said 138 learners will sit for KCPE whereas 117 will sit for KCSE as private candidates.
She further stated that there is a drastic decline in this year’s registration for KCPE where only 138 candidates have registered compared to 278 private candidates who were registered in 2016 in the region.
