Student commits suicide

A Kisumu student committed suicide by hanging himself inside a classroom using an electric cable.
Joseph Ogire, 19, is said to have had a problem with one of the teachers at St Charles Lwanga Nyamkebe Secondary School in Nyando. He was a Form Four student.
Principal Irine Kowade said the student arrived at about 5.20 am for morning preps.
“Night guard Philip Akong’o found his body while doing his rounds,” said Kowade who reported the matter at Ahero Police Station.
Kisumu Police boss, Andrew Naibei said Ogire’s bag and exercise books were found on his desk.
County Commissioner, Mohamed Maalim asked residents not to speculate and give them any helpful information. The body was taken to Ahero Sub-county Mortuary.
