MP censures abuse of Standard Three pupil

County Woman Rep, Mary Mbugua wants culprits of defilement severely punished to deter would be offenders.
She said anyone involved in defilement and child abuse should not be left to go scot-free while the victims writhing in pain.
Mbugua condemned a recent case where a Standard Three pupil was sexually assaulted by a 57 year old man. The girl, 10 from Kuresoi was lured into the man’s house by a close ally of her father.
The MP who was addressing parents in Molo Sub-County recently, called on them to be vigilant on their children, adding that: “Negligent parents will not be tolerated in the community.”
She observed that many parents have neglected children due to abject poverty. Family conflicts, she said have also contributed to separation leaving children hungry, homeless and destitute. – John Njoroge.
