Bushiangala Secondary School has benefited from the National Government sponsored Digital Learning Programme (DLP).
Apart from DLP, the school has also got ultra-Modern Resource Centre and Free Education Bouquet donated by Multichoice Company.
Speaking during the official handing over of the Resource Centre and Computers at the school, the Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunication, Sammy Itemere said the Government was committed to creating an enabling learning environment in schools across the county.
“We have plans to put up fully equipped computer laboratories to encourage Digital Learning and create friendly learning environment in schools,” he said.
He welcomed a gesture by the Multichoice Company to compliment the National Government efforts to equip schools in the area with Digital Learning Devices.
MultiChoice East Africa Regional Director, Stephen Isaboke said the company has initiated educational products targeting schools across the country as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
“We have started Ultra-modern learning resource centres in 200 schools across the country and we focus to reach out to even more learning institutions in Kakamega County in collaboration with the government,” he said.
