Students boosted as Thika MP gives Sh32m bursary

Needy students in Thika town Constituency can now access learning institutions. This is after the area MP, Alice Ng’ang’a gave them bursaries amounting Sh32 million.
More than 6,000 students received the scholarships under the Thika Education Trust Fund (THETFU) which was founded by the MP.
Speaking during the ceremony at Chania Boys, she said education is the best legacy a leader can leave their people with since its impact will be felt for generations to come.
Education Cabinet Secretary, Dr Fred Matiang’i who was the chief guest lauded the efforts by the legislator, saying he has traveled across the country and the MP is one of the best performers in the Education sector.
